What does the example of the Bereans in Acts 17 teach is about verifying Biblical Knowledge, and how can Catholics apply this today?

       The people of the ancient city truly believe that the Bible was the word of God and were careful when someone preaches to them. Since the Christian religious movement was new and was spoken of by people highly connected with Jesus Christ the people were cautious. It was a new way of observing the Law of Moses and talked about a new teacher that raised from the dead after three days. There are many different forms of approaching the ways of Christianity because of the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and what it means. The New Testament was the entire life of Jesus Christ and his followers, the information was forming during the first century so the Beroeans had only the Old Testament and the writings, etc.
