Hello, I think you misunderstood the situation in Genesis chapter 3, with the act of eating from the Tree of Knowledge Satan did indeed get both parents to worship him or to render honor. The whole concept of selling our souls to the devil came from all of this. Maybe the words were not openly said but this was in fact what the serpent was used as a ploy to bring Adam and Eve into submission. It worked as planned and to this day people do not really know that happened in the Bible story of the serpent in Eden.
