Revelation 12:1-4
Modern English Version
The Woman and the Dragon
12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was with child and cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: There was a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as He was born.
The New Testament Revelation 12:1-4 fulfills the ancient Prophecy of Genesis 3:15 which discloses the sign that an actual woman was "clothed" with celestial raiment of the sun, with the moon at her feet. Upon the head of the woman was a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was soon to give birth. The woman was pregnant with the kingdom of the heaven which will be established for the earth during the Second Coming of Christ.
The second sign is a red colored dragon with human attributes being: 7 human heads, 10 human horns upon the heads, and 7 human crowns. This suggests that the authority of the dragon is human in act and nature. The action of the dragon itself is it is waiting for the woman to give birth to the kingdom of the heaven since it does not have human attributes.
