Romans 1:28
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking. And so they do what they should not do.
Hello, this passage is easier to understand in the easy-to-read version of translated Scriptures. Notice that it says, 'the people did not think that having true knowledge was important'. Ok, that can mean that people simply went to church sat in the seats and heard religious disclosures and went home, nothing is wrong with that. Many Christian churches today provide services that look like that, especially African American churches. But it could mean anything it could even mean that lies are told about God, and it would seem unimportant. Jesus Christ preached about this habit of people and how God will reject them, Matthew 15:3-11. It meant that God was not respected in one way or another also a failure to expound sacred Scriptures, which is of course a violation of Scriptures, Nehemiah 8:1-8.
God should be honored. Now it could also mean that people did not know how to honor God because their forefathers are sinners and could not teach them how to rightly honor God. The next words say that 'God left them to their own worthless thinking' which is true and has been true for many years. So, the true object of this passage may be a score that has never been settled and left like that. It goes back very far as a matter of fact it goes clean back to the beginning, Genesis 3:20-24. At the Second Coming of Christ all those that are chosen as approved to acquire salvation will be taught how to build the correct and accurate spiritual nature that is expressed at Isaiah 2:2-4
