I think greed is a normal imperfect action that results from sin. The more people have or do not have can push greediness over a certain line. Based on whether you feel loyalty within your heart can influence your conduct. So, in other word people are disloyal when they are not loyal people by nature. This means they can be naturally greedy and simply expect others to overlook this tendency in them.
In general, the world is not as high functioning as people think it is. I think people can easily see that some people "miss the mark" so to speak. I feel this encourages greed and motivate others to see things differently and recognize that someone else does not see it the same way. The picture above is the perfect example of the world's outlook, things can seem very different from the truth. The only solution for a better life is God's Kingdom where salvation will be provided for all subjects, Romans 12:2.
