Hi the Hebrew word for Satan is : שטן = devil, satan, demon, fiend, evil

What did the devil do to Job?
When God first unleashes Satan on Job, he tells him that he must not damage the man physically. So Satan just kills Job's children, servants, and livestock. In response, Job tears his robe, shaves his head, falls to the ground—and worships God! “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away,” he says.

What was the focus of the story of Job?
Job is an investigation of the problem of divine justice. This problem, known in theology as the problem of evil, can be rephrased as a question: "Why do the righteous suffer?" The conventional answer in ancient Israel was that God rewards virtue and punishes sin (the principle known as "retributive justice").

How did God tested Job's faith?
His friends accused him and called into question his faith in God. Job's wife tried to persuade him to turn from the Lord when she said, “Curse God and die!” Job replied: “Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity” (Job 2:10). ... God tested Job's faith and refined his character.

Is Book of Job A tragedy?
Within the Book of Job, there are several tragic elements in the book that display the tragic sense of life, mainly within Job's own life. ... The main portion of the book consists of Job bickering back and forth with his friends concerning his suffering, and despite all their arguments neither ever reached a consensus.

What did Job say when he lost everything?
Job's wife told him to curse God and die. Job told her that if he said that, that would be foolish. Even though Job lost everything he had and suffered from painful sores all over his body, he did not sin against God by cursing him. ... This is the final time Satan is mentioned in the Book of Job.

Why should we be faithful to God?
As a Christian, it is important to be faithful to God. It is one thing to simply believe in Him, but another to be faithful to Him. When we are truly faithful to God, this shapes the way we live. For example, we are able to be loyal in our relationships here on Earth and truly love others.

What is Faithness?
Faithfulness is the concept of unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. ... Literally, it is the state of being full of faith in the sense of steady devotion to a person, thing or concept.
