The Defeat of Satan
7 When the 1000 years are ended, Satan will be made free from his prison. 8 He will go out to trick the nations in all the earth, the nations known as Gog and Magog. Satan will gather the people for battle. There will be more people than anyone can count, like sand on the seashore.
9 I saw Satan’s army march across the earth and gather around the camp of God’s people and the city that God loves. But fire came down from heaven and destroyed Satan’s army.

Hi I would like to point out several things about this passage: (1- Happens after 1,000 years have ended, (2- Nations are known as: Gog of Magog, that is their name, (3- Satan will gather people for battle/war, (4- Army march together or join as one force surrounding the place where the kingdom resides, (5- Number of those controlled by Satan so many can’t number them.

The Soviet Union started a government, a group known as the Black Hand killed the Archduke of Austria that started WWI. Since that time until the modern era the Soviet Union continued until collapsed in the year 1991 and has not re-established itself. The group of people that are known as Gog of Magog in the future are gathered by Satan to start the battle/war of Armageddon. The people in this group may be Russians it is not known, only that they are led by Satan to start the war called Armageddon. They did not pass the final test to receive salvation destroyed in Armageddon.

The Black Hand (Unification or Death) was formed by a ring of influential officers of the Serbian army, headed by Dragutin Dimitrijević (1876-1917), known as “Apis”, in May 1911.
