Yes of course, in spite of the corruption in the world there is strong reason to hope for the future. We believe in the promises set forth in the Bible, we can read them and have faith in them. We can only have faith in the promises if we know what they are and read them, Hebrews 11:8-10.
We can look forwards to the Kingdom of God as the only future, there is nothing to look back towards since we can only see that the Kingdom was not established yet, Isaiah 9:6-7. Only problems and our sins remain in the past, the future is the only hope where we can resolve our issues by receiving salvation that is given out through the Kingdom, 1 Peter 1:5. The purpose of life is to regard the future as a refreshing change that is long hoped for in which we believe that we deserve a second chance, Isaiah 65:17-19.
