Hi, the Old Testament and the New Testament complete each other and make the Holy Scriptures, Luke 24:25-27. The Old Testament announces things God will reveal in the New Testament. The Old Testament has the Deliverance from Egypt, the Ten Commandments, the Laws of Moses, the Hebrew Exodus, Exodus 12:40-42. The New Testament expresses faith by works of the laws fulfilled by through the one coming as the Messiah/Christ, John 4:25.

23 But before faith came, we were imprisoned under the law, kept for the faith which was later to be revealed. 24 So the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
