Some people say "Studying the Bible is a waste of time." What would you say? Why?

​                  Hi, I say studying the Bible expresses history and how could that be a waste of time? If the stories of the Bible are not real, it would not matter it is the Word of God or in general what God wanted to say to people. I think God knows the stories are not real. I think people will just have to wait until God wants to speak again. Peace.
