Hello this is a vision of the futuristic Temple that represents the Kingdom of the Heavens, in the dream of Revelation chapter 21-22 the Temple is renamed New Jerusalem. The information in Ezekiel 47:1 the Temple New Jerusalem tells of water coming out of the “house” on the east side, which is the same as Revelation 22:1. This water that came out of New Jerusalem became a large sea that gave life to the fish and enlivened the land.

At Ezekiel 47:12 it speaks of trees along both sides of the water as it is in the middle of the land, this is also the same as in Revelation 22:2. Why is the water seen coming out of New Jerusalem and what could it mean? At Jeremiah 2:13 (ERV) it says “My people have done two evil things. They turned away from me, and they dug their own water cisterns. I am the source of living water; those cisterns are broken and cannot hold water.” So, In the Bible the water coming out of New Jerusalem in both Ezekiel and Revelation is from God who alone is its source. But the passage explains that people have abandoned God and according to human nature have built their own jars or tanks to hold the water that comes from God.  The jars or tanks for holding living water are not proper which is displayed as broken and full of holes that leak so they could not hold the water. This is foretold to be inferior worship that is inappropriate for spiritual matters relating to God. In the Second Coming we can expect that New Jerusalem will right conditions so that the new heaven and new earth can function as it is expressed in the Bible, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10.

In the book of Revelation 2:7 it explains that New Jerusalem will have and use the Tree of Life and become the paradise of God. In recalling the only place that had the Tree of Life and was the paradise of God called the Garden of Eden, what was it purpose and how was it designed? At Genesis 2:8-16 it explains that Eden was the home of the first two humans to take care of the garden and to provide food for them. In recognizing the purpose and the design of the Garden of Eden we can have true knowledge of New Jerusalem, and how the living waters revive the conditions to bestow life again to earth so that salvation will be given as the free gift of God, Revelation 21:4. In Ezekiel 47:7-12 the tree of life grows abundantly in the new heaven and the new earth, in which they provide healing for the chosen ones, Revelation 7:13-17. In fact, the trees that heal the world is found everywhere on earth, Revelation 22:1-2. The book of Genesis 2:8-16 tells us the future of paradise as it will exist in New Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 31:2-9
Names of God Bible

2 “Son of man, say to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and his many people,
‘Was there ever anyone as great as you?
3 What about Assyria?
It was a cedar in Lebanon
with fine branches that shaded the forest.
    It was very tall.
Its top was among the clouds.
4         Water made the tree grow,
and underground springs made it tall.
Rivers flowed around the place where the tree was planted.
Streams ran beside all the other trees around it.
5 That is why it grew taller than all the other trees in the field.
Its branches became large and long because of so much water.
6         All the birds made their nests in its branches.
All the wild animals gave birth to their young under it.
All the powerful nations lived in its shade.
7 So the tree was big and beautiful with its long branches.
Its roots reached down to many sources of water.
8 The cedar trees in Elohim’s garden couldn’t compare to it.
The pine trees couldn’t equal its branches.
The plane trees couldn’t measure up to its branches.
All the trees in Elohim’s garden couldn’t match its beauty.
9 I was the one who made it beautiful with its many branches.
This tree was the envy of all the trees in Eden, in Elohim’s garden.
