2 Corinthians 11:14
Modern English Version (MEV)
And no wonder! For even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
Good afternoon thanks for the A2A I think this question might require some Biblical investigation to answer it. First off from this passage we learn that Satan DISGUISES himself, or he tried to hide his true nature. There are many questions related to this verse that you must first clear up within your own mind: Do you believe Satan is real? Do you believe that he is our enemy and purely evil? Do you believe that he operates as an apostate? These are important questions that we are supposed to already be understood as devout Christians.
Now the next step would be to answer each questions Biblically so that you can lead to accurate truth being seen and acknowledged. In fact Jesus Christ answered all three questions with one verse, at John 8:44 it says “Your father is the devil. You belong to him. You want to do what he wants. He was a murderer from the beginning. He was always against the truth. There is no truth in him. He is like the lies he tells. Yes, the devil is a liar. He is the father of lies.”
The next step now would be to use the Bible to see Satan as he truly is. At 1 Peter 5:8 it says “Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat.” Ok now what we have to do is to try and think how Satan fools people so that he can accomplish the passage at 2 Corinthians 11:14. The information about Satan as any spiritual compound is written down always in the Bible because that is the word of truth given to men from God as an instruction, Romans 15:4. What passage in the Bible helps to understand how Satan can fool people? At 2 Corinthians 4:4 it says “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” This passage explains that in the final days Satan has become the god of this world. Because there is one sure thing about the people in the final days, they are unbelievers they do not believe in God or Jesus and the message that he gave to us. Even within the church of Christians you may find those whose faith is weak because they do not really believe. Satan works hard to cultivate this within people so the truth can never touch your heart even if you heard it and believed it at some point, Matthew 13:18–23. He will work to undermine its worth within your heart unseen by people. This is the power that he had that started with Eve, he undermined the worth of obedience within her heart so that she ate without considering the consequences, Genesis 3:1–6.
So, in summing up this simple study of a spiritual compound we learn that our faith in God and his goals for us are always under question, Revelation 12:7–10. If we believe in them and want to partake of God’s provisions, then we must continue steadfast in believing and showing integrity to its cause. Meanwhile Satan works in the opposite direction spiritually as an apostate to undermine any worth created by seeds of truth planted. This is a lifelong struggle that all of us must endure.
