Psalm 4:8

8 When I go to bed, I sleep in peace,
because, Lord, you keep me safe.
The meaning of this passage is security and confidence in your relationship with God and the qualities that you have developed in your many years of devoted service. “I will sleep because I have nothing to be afraid of since I have loyally served God.” This denotes confidence and reassurance in your own abilities to do what is right and feel good about yourself and the genuineness of your own heart. “All the days of my life I have devoted myself to God even when I have sinned, I continued to fight for the relationship.” Another view of spiritual worth is “I have given you my life and believed in you with my own faith”. The quality of integrity means a lot to God, in which it means I shall sleep confidently because I have done the job I wanted to do. The mental reassurance that you wanted a spiritual life and you happily pursued it.
