Romans 8:6
Easy-to-Read Version
6 If your thinking is controlled by your sinful self, there is spiritual death. But if your thinking is controlled by the Spirit, there is life and peace.
In the final days before the End of World this is the warning given to all servants that are Christians and follow Jesus Christ by the way of faith. Our minds and hearts are the prime example of living the Christian life to the full and how we can be approved by God during the hour of test the Great Tribulation coming to test everyone in the world, Revelation 3:10. We are told repeatedly to guard our hearts and minds especially from our own feelings that can move us in ways we cannot see so clearly, Colossians 1:21-23. In reality our own enemy is truly ourselves and our imperfection that can keep us from receiving salvation, Philippians 4:4-9. How serious can we take the warnings from the Holy Scriptures?
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
9-10 Surely you know that people who do wrong will not get to enjoy God’s kingdom. Don’t be fooled. These are the people who will not get to enjoy his kingdom: those who sin sexually, those who worship idols, those who commit adultery, men who let other men use them for sex or who have sex with other men, those who steal, those who are greedy, those who drink too much, those who abuse others with insults, and those who cheat. 11 In the past some of you were like that. But you were washed clean, you were made holy, and you were made right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
