HI, I think you mean what does spirituality do for people, first off it is built into our DNA to become involved with religion and wanting to seek God, Acts 17:22-28. There can only be one reason for people to request salvation to remove sins or to reveal the source of how God will grant forgiveness. This is the first step or introduction to spirituality. This requires that we can recognize our own sins and humbly ask for salvation, 1 Corinthians 2:14-16.
The idea of religion written into our DNA means that it is a part of our personality and gives us balance that will naturally lead us to begin a search for God. It is also a way that God has called people to himself, the chosen ones. All of this is possible if you can build faith and live the Christian lifestyle, Romans 12:1-2.
