Hi, this parable is a good one in explaining to people how they should behave towards one another. The parable starts off by telling the story of a man beaten robbed and left for dead on the streets. Three people saw the man in this condition and the story tells their reaction towards seeing the man.
The main point of the three men is that they have peculiar traits. One man is a Priest/Rabbi the man is responsible for the law and teaching it, he simply crosses the street. The next man is a Levite/ Temple service, he does the same as the rabbi he too crosses the street. Since these two men have a job that devotes themselves to obeying and displaying God’s law, they are hypocrites.
The last one to see the man in a bad condition goes out of his way to help and keeps the man safe until he regains his own strength. The last man is a Samaritan which is known to be enemies with the Jewish people in Jesus Christ time. But upon seeing the man in that condition he did not seem to be an enemy at all.
