Hi it is mostly because our soul is the real you and the animation that the spirit gives to the organs within the body. For as long as you live you have grown in every way, your feelings, your emotions, your experiences all these things shape you and have a profound effect on your future.
The spiritual experience works the same way, what we learn shapes us our thoughts and how we progress towards spiritual development. Who taught you the Bible? Most of us want to be trained by a highly respected teacher and leader. All these things shape the quality of your faith and its growth. So, when we acknowledge the soul, we should realize that it is a living thing and requires nurturing.

“It will prove you are the Son of God,” he said.
