At 30 years of age Jesus approached John the Baptist to be baptized in water to show the correct way to acknowledge agreement to follow divine will to receive salvation, Mark 1:9-11. The actions that Jesus had tells us something about what his purpose was, and we read that he took the title of God's anointed One, Luke 4:16-21. In fact, all titles related to Jesus are observed through spiritual qualifications of one being anointed to do a special service for God.
The prime purpose for Jesus of Nazareth was to become the Messiah and Christ so he would provide teaching and preaching in order to start a new religion that offers all people salvation through faith. As Jesus gave his life in exchange for those who will receive the kingdom his commission on earth has been concluded, Matthew 20:28. As regards salvation all people must have faith in Jesus and his promises through the kingdom of God, John 3:16. In providing the agreement between Jesus and God for subjects of the kingdom what passage in the Bible expresses the agreement?
Isaiah 61:1-3
Modern English Version (MEV)
The Lord’s Favor
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me
because the Lord has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor;
He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn,
3 to preserve those who mourn in Zion,
to give to them beauty
for ashes,
the oil of joy
for mourning,
the garment of praise
for the spirit of heaviness,
that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord,
that He might be glorified.
