Hi, I would say having a gut feeling or being affected about something or someone, it means knowing what you want and who you are. If something truly bothers you, you will feel it in your stomach. If something makes you truly happy you may smile without actually knowing why. This is called touching your core. We also have ideas and principles that shape us and give us substance and it can be deeply painful to have learned something that is different or not in sync with what we have already learned and accepted as a method. Sometimes this acts as a self-checking and cleaning up or modernizing our beliefs and principles.
