Hi, I think the way must be prepared so that people can realize the situation arrived and there is a profound change, Matthew 24:29-30. The Messiah in first century did not take up office as a ruler but in the Second Coming it will happen, Revelation 11:15. In the Bible the small country of Israel saw the preaching campaign of Jesus of Nazareth who became the Christ in a spiritual way, Matthew 3:13-17. Jesus Christ announced the Kingdom of God and taught people to wait for it, Matthew 6:9-13. So, in order to acknowledge the Second Coming the kingdom should be established, Matthew 24:29-30.
