Hi, I think it would be viewed as religious if God was involved with your life or not. The concept would be to acquire accurate knowledge that will eventually lead you to enlightenment, this is a fundamental concept developed among religious organizations worldwide. This is a mature view and a sought-after conclusion for all those that cannot achieve salvation because they feel that there must be a purpose to arrive to. This does not actually mean that God is leading you, it only means that this is the end of the road of the religion you have been involved in, 1 Corinthians 13:9-12. The Bible however reveals that false religion exists and it is our job to find it and remove ourselves from it, Revelation 18:1-8.
How do we know when God is truly leading us towards the Kingdom of the Heavens? This would be the only place where we could find and acknowledge God. The sole purpose of the Second Coming of Christ is to establish the Kingdom and start to provide salvation for the chosen ones everywhere. A spiritual journey or any leadership or direction in your life should always lead to receiving the kingdom and moving onwards towards salvation. There are stages that will be introduced by the kingdom when the time arrives there would be no reason to worry on it. The first stage is to see the new heavens and the new earth very clearly, Revelation 21:1.
