The Temple always had a spiritual connection since God does not live in buildings made by men, Acts 17:14. If the temple is destroyed it means it was spiritually worthless and does not provide any significance, Genesis 15:18. If it was rebuilt and then later destroyed the matter has been repeatedly emphasized. The religion now of importance in Israel is Islam and no longer Judaism, the Dome of the Rock has taken the sacred spot away from the Jews. That also has a significance that the true religion can only be exposed by endurance, which was prophesied by Jesus Christ, Mark 13:1-2 (TLB), Luke 19:44 (TLB).
