Hi well ah Abraham was a man that followed God and obeyed him. He was one of the early patriarchs to do this. He left his hometown and followed God to an unknown land in which he stayed as an alien all the days of his life, Genesis 12:1-3.

Another point would be that God promised the entire land to the descendants of Abraham, the nation of Israel today confirms that promise made to "Father Abraham", Genesis 17:1-8. The concept of spirituality of Abraham's descendants have branched off into three sectors: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Jesus Christ is a descendent of Abraham "but not everyone saying Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom" preached by Jesus Christ, Matthews 7:21-23.
